D&I Specialist

For the New York Office of a Very Prestigious Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Diversity Committee, affinity groups, and the Women's Initiative Committee;
  • Work with members of the Legal Personnel department to develop and implement programs and events for the Women's Initiative and affinity groups;
  • Assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of diversity data;
  • Coordinate and monitor follow-up recruitment efforts as they relate to women and students of color;
  • Coordinate lawyers' participation in professional organizations' diversity events;
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including Super Saturdays, hospitality suites, lunch calls and on-line searches as necessary; serve as the primary contact for a cohort of summer associates.

Qualifications include:

  • 3+ years related work experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, in addition to superior judgment;
  • Comfortable working with and analyzing numerical data and other metrics;
  • Ability to work and interact with attorneys at all levels;
  • Ability to gain strong knowledge of the Firm, its culture, practices and policies;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at once.
