Sr. Professional Training Coordinator

For the Washington, D.C. Office of a Well-Known D.C. Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all logistics and planning for training programs; collaborate with Diversity & Inclusion and Recruiting to implement training initiatives;
  • Work with Manager of Professional Training to identify external speakers and presenters for training programs and become the primary contact;
  • Coordinate meeting and program logistics, including room reservations, announcements, calendar invitations, corresponding with other offices, coordinating with IT, room set-up, handouts, recording of programs, etc.;
  • Assist Manager of Professional Training to develop and implement fall orientation training curriculum for new arrivals and laterals;
  • Work with Manager of Professional Training to determine training needs based on feedback and pre-and post-evaluation meetings with Practice Group Leaders;
  • Collaborate with Marketing department to create relevant materials and draft, update and maintain professional training content and resources on internet and intranet sites.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • 2+ years of experience working in a law firm or other professional service environment; professional training experience preferred;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with lawyers, managers and staff at all levels of seniority;
  • Creative and thoughtful self-starter with excellent attention to detail and project management skills;
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Demonstrated interest in law firm professional training and attorney development.
