Marketing Events Manager

For the New York Office of a Prestigious Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the overall strategic planning and implementation of marketing and client events, including seminars, sponsored conferences, tradeshows, attorney speaking engagements, industry memberships, client entertainment and the Firm's alumni program;
  • Work closely with attorneys and the marketing team to develop, implement and improve upon existing Firm conferences, speaking engagements, sponsorships and Firm entertainment;
  • Conduct post-event analysis, including determining ROI;
  • Continuously improve upon best practices and processes and implementation of systems to improve upon the overall effectiveness and efficiency of marketing and client events;
  • Supervise and manage various staff members involved in the execution of programs and events, as well as personnel at external venues and consultants hired to assist in events;
  • Work closely with the Director and Managers to ensure events are maximized for business development and PR purposes.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field; 7+ years of experience in events or marketing, preferably in a law or professional firm environment or for an events management firm that caters to professional events;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Experience developing a wide range of client events, including educational, entertainment and sponsored events;
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing technologies preferred;
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to inspire Partners' confidence and achieve results;
  • Must be highly professional and dedicated, possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and thrive in a fast-paced, client service environment.
