Business Development Manager
For the New York Office of a Well-Known Wall Street Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide support to attorneys through strategic planning and related initiatives including analyzing market trends, supporting cross-selling initiates and researching target clients and industries;
- Manage, support and track various business units' marketing and business development plans;
- Work with leadership to expand the client base by proactively seeking opportunities to drive new business development and cross-selling;
- Research, plan, coordinate and support internal and external business unit events including acting as an on-site host, preparing firm materials and organizing attendee registration and event space;
- Maintain and catalog content in the departments database; make suggestions on how to improve data quality, search capabilities and reporting function of the database;
- Facilitate internal communications regarding opportunities within the business unit; prepare and distribute client alerts, firm news and publications.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other related field; 3-5 years of business development and marketing experience, preferably in legal or other professional services industry;
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, InterAction, website management systems and e-marketing software;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with attorneys;
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization;
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work well within a deadline.
