Marketing Communications Manager
For the New York Office of a Well-Known Wall Street Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Establish a firm brand and voice in all communications through creating strategic content across various medias including management of firm’s social media accounts; collaborate with CMBDO on brand strategies and create a content calendar;
- Manage the client alert process and liaise with attorneys during draft and review process; work with BD team to provide trainings for attorneys regarding ways to leverage digital media for marketing and business development;
- Serve as primary liaison to outside media relation firms; provide direction on key firm initiatives and priorities and review and manage all time investments;
- Create and monitor calendar for awards and rankings; manage service providers in crafting submission strategies and edit submissions completed by vendors;
- Draft blurbs, synopses, Q&As, announcements, invitations and other materials for internal audiences as needed and in collaboration with CMBDO and Events Specialist;
- Collaborate with marketing team members on intranet enhancements to home page and department section and assist marketing with special projects.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism or another writing-intensive discipline; 5+ years of experience in a communications role in a law firm or professional services firm;
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to craft copy in various voices and styles that are tailored to a range of outlets and audiences;
- Strong understanding of qualities that make content newsworthy and are attractive to clients and reporters;
- Comfortably dealing with senior management, the media and outside service providers;
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced;
- Able to handle confidential information and exercise professional and appropriate judgement in sensitive situations.
