Senior Marketing and Business Development Specialist
For the New York Office of an IP Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Work closely with lawyers, the BD Director, and outside consultants to develop strategic business development plans;
- Build the firm and individual partners' visibility through events, sponsorships, and campaigns; identify opportunities for attorneys to participate in speaking engagements and assist with deliverables;
- Conduct research, and produce reports on prospects, existing clients, competitors, and target industries in support of BD activities;
- Take ownership of CRM database and supervise the data entry process, list management and tracking of all business development activities (pre and post pitch activities, etc.;
- Work with the Director to develop and produce client-facing materials related to pursuing new business including pitches, responding to RFP’s presentations, client meeting materials, etc.;
- Provide pitch and directory submission support: edit, proofread, draft, track matters and maintain materials such as pitches, proposals, lawyer profiles, annual directory submissions and similar materials.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years of related experience; bachelor's degree required;
- Ability to think critically and analytically, creative problem-solving skills, and exhibit sound judgment;
- Effective interpersonal and team working skills; in particular, an ability to develop effective collaborative relationships with partners, associates, paralegals, assistants and professionals in other administrative functions;
- Ability to direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as manage workload and prioritize projects accordingly;
- CRM and email marketing experience required (Hubspot experience a plus);
- An adaptable thinker who can work both strategically as well as in a hands-on/execution capacity.
