Manager, Lateral Legal Recruiting

For the DC Office of a Well-known DC Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead lateral recruitment and identify hiring needs for U.S. searches; work with hiring committee and appropriate business services teams to ensure seamless recruiting process for lateral associates, of counsel hires, contract attorneys, and staff attorney
  • Manage advertisement of, and candidate sourcing and lifecycle of open positions; source qualified candidates and coordinate logistics of the recruiting and interview process; build and/or maintain relationships with search firms;
  • Review candidate resumes, arrange candidate interview schedules, correspond with candidates throughout the recruitment and hiring process, ensuring required documentation is obtained, oversee candidate diligence process with internal stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with Professional Development and Training team on onboarding process and orientation for all non-partner attorneys and legal specialists;
  • Partner with entire Talent Acquisition team and senior leaders to support DEI Initiatives, share best practices and deliver a seamless candidate experience.

Qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of related experience in Legal Recruiting, Talent Management, Professional Development, or Human Resources; bachelor's degree required;
  • 1+ years’ supervisory/managerial experience;
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in partnership with others at all levels;
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects, independently and with sound judgment;
  • Professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
  • Experience with iManage, ViGlobal, and/or LinkedIn Recruiter a plus.
Salary: $100k-$150k
