Recruiting Manager
For the DC Office of a Global Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and implement a proactive lateral recruiting strategy, overseeing all aspects of hiring and onboarding for designated offices;
- Build and maintain relationships with law school career services, oversee summer associate and fall recruiting programs, and engage with associates to foster long-term connections;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with legal search firms to enhance the firm’s visibility and attract top talent;
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and integration processes for all lateral and new hires to ensure a seamless transition;
- Maintain and uphold recruiting policies and procedures to align with firmwide hiring goals and best practices;
- Plan and attend summer associate events, fall recruiting programs, and other initiatives that strengthen recruitment efforts.
Qualifications include:
- BA/BS degree with at least 6 years of legal recruitment or career development experience within a law firm;
- Extensive experience managing attorney recruitment, strategy development, onboarding, and integration;
- Deep understanding of legal recruiting best practices, market trends, and law firm hiring strategies;
- Strong relationship-building abilities, professional judgment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail;
- Experience managing candidates in an applicant tracking system and utilizing recruiting technology effectively.
