Director of Lateral Recruiting

Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Chair/CEO and key practice group leaders on strategic lateral partner and group recruiting initiatives;
- Developing and executing strategic recruiting objectives; implementing comprehensive workforce planning and operating practices/policies; and managing resources in accordance with such plans;
- Developing position profiles; identifying and evaluating candidates; communicating hiring determinations; and managing relations with candidates or their representatives;
- Acquiring competitive market position knowledge and benchmarking compensation; developing and maintaining marketing materials and other collateral content for recruiting endeavors;
- Developing/enhancing recruiting forms, including evaluations, approval forms, offer letters, rejection letters and policies. Ensuring that requisite human resource records are prepared for all candidates and hires;
- Overseeing the development and management of the lateral recruiting budget.
- - Bachelor degree is required; experience in the practice of law is a plus;
- - Demonstrated success and experience in managing relationships; proven ability to be a positive member of a management team;
- - Experience as law firm or other professional services firm recruiter, preferably in the New York region. Additional recruiting, including agency experience, a plus;
- - Executive presence with the ability to deal with senior level executives, including partners internally and senior recruiters externally;
- - Experience mentoring and guiding the professional development of staff members;
- - Superior project management skills, with attention to detail.
