Business Development Analyst

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in maintaining, updating and proofreading practice marketing materials, including practice group descriptions, brochures, slide-decks, practice-specific case lists and intranet/website/blog content;
  • Analyze/interpret RFP requirements, participate in the development of a clear and focused RFP strategy and response; clarify issues as needed;
  • Support directory submissions process including maintaining accolades database, coordinating and maintaining submissions calendar, creating submissions and coordinating researcher interviews with partners;
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market research in preparation for client and prospective client meetings, pitches/proposals, and other business development initiatives;
  • Assist with client analysis, referral tracking, and lead generation reports under the direction of the Litigation BD Manager;
  • Maintain and update practice internet and intranet sites.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 2 - 4 yrs work experience in marketing and/or business development (within the legal industry is a plus);
  • Extensive writing experience preferred;
  • Ability to synthesize research and knowledge base in order to provide sophisticated marketing and business development recommendations to partners and associates;
  • Strong aptitude for navigating financial/research databases;
  • Ability to develop and deliver executive-level pitch and proposal presentations;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively with a variety of people and departments.
