Marketing Manager

For the NY or LA Office of a Prestigious Litigation Finance Company
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with Investment Managers and Company leadership to promote awareness of and raise the profile of the Company for prospective funding clients in the legal and business industry and in the media;
  • Manage the creation, production and distribution of print and digital marketing content, including fact sheets, newsletters, press releases, brochures; manage website and regularly update/post to the Company's Blog and LinkedIn profile;
  • Serve as point person for the Company's PR efforts; track and analyze press coverage and develop quarterly ROI reports to share with management;
  • Create a US marketing plan; research and monitor news and industry trends, prepare reports to assess implications and make marketing recommendations; develop content for pitches and presentations to both legal and business communities;
  • Recommend, plan and manage events that deepen the relationships between the Company, its prospects, and other key target audiences; develop and populate the company's contact database;
  • Manage the marketing budget; develop/maintain systems for tracking graphic design projects, print-related expenditures, contracts, inventory ; maintain relationships with outside vendors and agencies.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years experience marketing a law firm or related professional services; journalism experience a plus; graduate degree preferred; half time role (20 hours/week);
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills (grammar and proofreading test required);
  • Excellent organizational, project management and multitasking capabilities; proven ability to meet deadlines and juggle/prioritize projects appropriately;
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex legal and/or business concepts and translate them effectively for diverse audiences;
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude; an effective listener and communicator who can maintain positive relationships with all level of personnel, both internal to the Company and with PR agencies;
  • Highly proficient in Word and PowerPoint, including ability to employ and manipulate templates; experience with design programs a plus.
