Business Development Specialist - Capital Markets
For the New York Office of a Premier International Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare pitch materials for prospective client meetings and RFP responses, including leading the RFP process from start to finish; drafting and customizing proposal content; and editing and distributing final proposals;
- Lead profile-raising initiatives for the Firm's Capital Markets practice group;
- Research the Firm's practice areas and summarize client and industry questions for the attorneys engaged in Capital Markets work to use in new business pitches; prepare target client profiles;
- Maintain pitch tracking system and practice data/materials by updating databases with firm experience, accolades and other practice content; create pitch decks and other pitch materials for the practices; track pitch successes and fee proposals;
- Act as point person for partners in the coordination of directory submissions with the PR team; assist with league table submissions and reporting of deals to league tables and general benchmarking to market relevant practice areas.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of relevant experience, drafting pitches and knowledge of or experience with Capital Markets;
- Excellent analytical and research skills and the ability to process information from a wide variety of sources;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills;
- Extraordinary attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to and balance competing demands;
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to work on a team and on own initiative;
- Strong computer skills with various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
