Business Development Analyst/Assistant - Antitrust

For the New York Office of a Premier International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the preparation of targeted pitch materials for prospective client meetings and RFP responses for the Antitrust practice, including coordinating attorney content,drafting and customizing proposal content, and updating information and templates fro
  • Assist with researching, analyzing and summarizing market and industry trend information for use in client meetings, new business pitches, survey submissions and firm collaterals, as well as strategic overviews;
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing Chambers and various other legal directories, rankings, awards submissions;
  • Maintain pitch tracking system and practice data/materials, by updating collaterals and databases with pitch results, firm experience, accolades and other practice content;
  • Coordinate regular biography updates for partners and counsel for the website; fulfill internal and external requests for formatted biographies, brochures, and logos.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; 1-3 years of prior work experience, especially in a law firm, financial institution, investment bank, or consulting firm; experience in an analytical, marketing, client development or BD role preferred;
  • Excellent analytical and research skills and the ability to process information from a wide variety of sources; experience responding to RFPs or creating pitch materials is a plus;
  • Extraordinary attention to detail;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills;
  • Strong computer skills with various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), experience using Thomson Reuters, InterAction, Bloomberg, MergerMarket, CapitalIQ or other similar databases a plus.
