Practice Development Manager - Bankruptcy & Private Clients
For the New York Office of a Well-Respected Mid-Sized FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Gather intelligence on potential and current bankruptcy filings in various industries; keep apprised of the present and emerging needs of existing clients; identify key relationships, and conflict checks;
- Produce new business proposals and presentations for the Bankruptcy and Private Clients practices; provide support for cross-selling initiatives; maintain each practices' pipeline of opportunities and track results of pitches and proposals;
- Help partners develop and execute practice development plans; contribute to the overall Marketing & BD plans for the practices; ensure consistent progress towards achieving BD goals;
- Ensure the practices' database is current and accurate, including client and candidate contact information, matter lists and collateral materials; work with marketing to prepare research reports and client briefing books;
- Create and implement multi-faceted strategies to raise the profiles of the practices and partners by identifying and securing speaking, and writing opportunities, and sponsorship opportunities; distributing client advisories and other communications;
- Write and maintain web content, social media and collateral materials; identify credible directories and prepare ranking and award submissions.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of marketing or BD experience; experience with bankruptcy law preferable;
- Outstanding oral, written and inter-personal communications skills;
- Strong project management skills; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- A proactive and detail-oriented individual, with a client service mentality.
