Senior Recruitment Specialist

For the Greater New Haven Area Office of a Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle in the Firm's U.S. offices, including Partner, associate, paralegal, and support staff recruitment;
  • Develop sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates through direct recruiting tools (such as Linkedin); maintain recruitment website for the U.S; assist managers with creation of effective job descriptions and candidate criteria;
  • Serve as primary contact for all candidates, hiring managers and search agency representatives; negotiate fee arrangements with recruiters; work with the Firm's Diversity Committee to promote the Firm's diversity initiative;
  • Work closely with the U.S. HR Manager and the U.S. Executive Director in the candidate offer process (reference checks, background checks; compliance requirements, etc.);
  • Place employment advertisements, work with employment agencies,review resumes, schedule and coordinate interviews, maintain recruitment files and collect feedback, as appropriate;
  • Manage Summer Associate Program and the First-Year Associate recruiting activities; coordinate OCI recruitment program and call-back interview process.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 5+ years law firm and attorney recruitment experience desired;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the Firm;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team;
  • Strong knowledge of employment law;
  • Professional, calm demeanor.
