Alumni Relations Assistant

For the New York Office of a Premier International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organize associate farewell dinners, including: research potential venues, track RSVPs and expense trends, and arrange three-month follow-up outreach; assist with logistical details for alumni events;
  • Update the alumni website including finding links and stories for website publication, create and maintain Google Alerts, upload seminar videos and photos, and draft content for publication;
  • Maintain list of alumni interview candidates; update list of potential alumni speakers; track alumni client updates and business referrals; update alumni database;
  • Assist with administrative duties including scheduling exit interviews, departmental meetings and conference calls, updating informational materials, and maintaining calendars and contacts;
  • Provide budgetary assistance by tracking expenses.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 1-3 years of experience (can include internship, externship or fellowship);
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to multitask and follow projects through to completion;
  • Professional demeanor and emotional intelligence; discretion in handling sensitive material;
  • Demonstrates initiative and critical thinking skills; creative approach to problem solving; inquisitive mind and the desire to learn and gain experience;
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm in contributing to the department's overall success; ability to work independently and as a member of the team; flexibility to work overtime and evening events.
