BD Manager/Specialist- Bankruptcy & Restructuring, White Collar

For the New York Office of a Large International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement practice group marketing, BD and client service initiatives, including client-specific RFPs, pitches and presentations, newsletters and client alerts, marketing campaigns, directory submissions, sponsorships;
  • Conduct research on current and prospective clients, competitor activity and industry market trends; identify cross-selling opportunities and work with lawyers to expand client relationships and position as subject area experts;
  • Maintain and update practice marketing content including practice group descriptions, deal descriptions and lawyer biographies; track deals to ensure representative matter descriptions, client lists and industry/geographic experience are current;
  • Work with Marketing Technology to ensure website content is up to date; draft event write-ups for the website;
  • Assist Events Manager in the coordination of client functions including creating marketing collateral and invitations, distributions of invitations to client list, and assistance in the seamless execution of the event;
  • Assist Practice Group Management with the creation and implementation of budgets, regularly monitor and report on progress; track and update BD activities in InterAction.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 3+ years experience in a law firm, professional services or corporate environment; marketing or BD experience strongly preferred;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional editing and proofreading skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment; excellent organizational and project management skills;
  • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment;
  • High level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with partners and clients;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience in Interaction or other CRM programs highly desirable.
