(Sr.) Manager of Assistant Support

For the New York Office of a Global Management Consulting Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent customer service and innovative management of the daily operations and Assistant Support function for the New York office;
  • Work closely with the Executive Assistant (EA) Managers to develop strategy and plans for EA assignments and forecast future demand; drive performance excellence, monitor performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement;
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with EA Support team, as well as Partners, to ensure that support meets expectations and needs of the office;
  • Facilitate professional development and provide ongoing counsel to team members; ensure team members receive timely and appropriate feedback; help to identify and define training needs and opportunities;
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Assistant Support function.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or other professional degree preferred; 8+ years of related experience in a professional services firm; experience in a leadership role as a Manager of EAs or Assistant Support function required;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal; strong influencing capabilities;
  • Solid decision-making capabilities; ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure and in conflicting circumstances;
  • Resourceful problem-solver that takes initiative and is proactive;
  • Strong integrity, maturity and sense of fairness.
