BD Research Coordinator

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Manager of BD & Research in market intelligence analysis and in producing comprehensive research and background materials utilizing internal and external data sources;
  • Monitor a variety of sources to identify industry trends and potential prospects as it relates to BD efforts across practices and offices;
  • Assist BD/Marketing teams in maintaining the internal databases related to the firm's business intelligence function;
  • Work with BD Senior Manager and Senior Coordinator in production and maintenance of BD and pitch-related content;
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Firm's experience database, both in the proposal generation system and in the Marketing Library;
  • Assist in the production of tailored content for pitches and RFPs, directory submissions, and other collateral, including practice descriptions and attorney bios, flyers, industry specific experience, case studies, client mailings, newsletters, etc.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 2+ years of experience in legal, business or marketing research within a professional services environment;
  • Facility to think strategically and innovatively; has an innate desire and curiosity to learn about business, industries and markets;
  • Ability to identify, compile and synthesize information to create tailored and persuasive materials; develop clear, concise and well-structured written and verbal communications;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of people and departments as well as an ability to act with a high degree of integrity;
  • Clearly demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills; exercises flexibility and ingenuity to respond to changing demands;
  • Must be highly skilled in MS Suite; proficiency with various research databases including, CapitalIQ, Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Thomson One Banker, Westlaw MonitorSuite; experience with market intelligence tools preferred.
