BD Senior Coordinator - Financial Institutions Group
For the New York Office of a Global Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with Practice Group leaders, other attorneys and BD Team to support BD, key account management, marketing, and client relations' efforts to grow revenue in new and existing clients;
- Collaborate with firm resources to prepare market research and client analysis to identify industry trends and new BD opportunities; assist attorneys in pursuing leads;
- Effectively manage and implement BD and marketing activities through, assisting with marketing communications and collateral materials; developing credentials for use in RFPs and pitch responses; drafting and editing descriptions and biographies;
- Support marketing and PR initiatives including awards/directories submissions; manage and maintain group mailing list through the Firm's CRM system and maintain group mailing list; catalog and assist with leadership opportunities;
- Assist in planning and strategizing for local and national conferences, seminars and sponsorships; monitor and report on PD budgets;
- Work with BD leadership in lateral integration; assist BD with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree; 5+ years of experience in marketing-related field required, including 2+ years of law firm or professional services experience;
- A demonstrated interest in, and ability to understand, the legal business environment, including industry terminology;
- Must have demonstrated experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment;
- Strong oral and written communication skills; sound professional judgment and a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts;
- Must be detail oriented, proactive and self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines;
- Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as willingness to learn database systems.
