Marketing Manager- Litigation

For the New York Office of a National Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and pursue client opportunities and reputation building activities; maintain a strong knowledge of the legal market and the litigation capabilities of the Firm, applying this knowledge to maximize the effectiveness of marketing initiatives;
  • Manage relevant RFP/proposal responses and pitch meeting preparations including the creation of customized materials and sharing of best practices; maintain the Experience Database for significant litigation matter;
  • Plan and execute group client events such as webinars, conferences, speaking engagements, sponsorships, etc.;
  • Work closely with the PR and Communications teams to identify and leverage media opportunities, maintain accurate and effective web content, publish effective and timely client alerts, and support firm blogs;
  • Prepare Chambers, Legal 500 and other submissions to rankings and directories contributing to established goals and objectives;
  • Manage the production of marketing collateral, brochures, practice profiles, meeting placemats, announcements, invitations, etc.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a law firm; interactive marketing experience for online activities is a plus; graphic software experience is a plus;
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information (including statistics and abstract and concrete variables); ability to write reports and business correspondence, present information effectively, and respond to questions;
  • Demonstrated success strengthening corporate reputations and client relationships;
  • Proven ability to manage major projects; excellent detail orientation; ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and to apply them to practical solutions.
