Marketing & Business Development Specialist

For the New Haven Office of a Mid-Sized International Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and refine procedures relating to the Firm's BD tools including, written collateral, matter lists and contact lists, opportunity tracking, etc.; maintain quality control to ensure that marketing materials are accurate, consistent and current;
  • Assist with the production and dissemination of marketing-related promotional and client materials, such as brochures, reprints, newsletters, client alerts, client letters and Firm announcements;
  • Coordinate with US Marketing Team to conduct industry and client research to aid in practice development initiatives;
  • Work with Partners and practice groups to research and produce pitch documents for both intermediaries and end user clients;
  • Recommend and facilitate the involvement of firm lawyers in professional organizations that will enhance both their visibility as well as the Firm's in global platforms;
  • Support events, corporate sponsorships, regional client entertainment and receptions, including invitation lists, tracking RSVP, organizing registration, preparing name tags, greeting attendees upon arrival, preparing materials for the event, etc.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business; 3+ years of experience in law firms;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, as well as strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, such as pitch books, with competing deadlines;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and approach projects with a flexible and adaptable mindset; enthusiastic and friendly with the demonstrated ability to work with people at various levels within the Firm;
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of InterAction is a plus;
  • Availability to attend/run events early morning or evenings will be necessary, as required.
