Marketing Coordinator

For the LA Office of a Well-Respected Am Law 100 Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate pitch material, Powerpoint presentations, proposals and timelines; provide editorial support;
  • Assist in coordinating sponsorships and events, including generating mailing lists, managing invitations, securing approvals, developing ad copy, project planning, etc.;
  • Develop media pitches, press releases and talking points; conduct media research; create and distribute client alerts and newsletters;
  • Provide social media support for Firm blogs and individual lawyers; draft, edit and manage content for Firm website and internet;
  • Process, edit and post lawyer biographies; assist with directories and surveys through project management and submission preparation;
  • Conduct research on competitors, clients, prospects, markets, etc.; update and track metrics related to communications and business development.

Qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of marketing or communications experience; law firm experience is a plus;
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline requiring writing, research and analysis preferred or equivalent work experience;
  • An understanding of digital marketing, media relations and business development is preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written skills; detail-oriented and highly organized; ability to generate written deliverables for internal and external audiences, often on short notice; ability to multi-task and prioritize;
  • Savvy technology skills (Microsoft Office Suite); ability to utilize a content management system and leverage media monitoring tools (e.g. Vocus/Cision and PR Newswire) is preferred;
