Lateral Attorney Recruiting Manager

For the New York or D.C. Office of a Very Innovative Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee full cycle attorney recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, preparing offers and assisting with onboarding for the New York City and Washington D.C. offices;
  • Develop and drive innovative sourcing methods to build proactive talent pipelines; create a sourcing plan for open positions, including the identification and management of external sources for those open positions;
  • Collaborate with leadership, including Practice Group Leaders and Office Partners-in-Charge, to identify hiring needs and recruiting objectives;
  • Find effective methods of advancing the Firm's diversity recruiting efforts and attract diverse attorney candidates by collaborating with the Diversity Outreach Recruitment Manager;
  • Develop, track and analyze reports and projections regarding market trends in diversity, legal recruiting, and retention;
  • Assist with annual budget process.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred;
  • 4+ years experience in legal recruiting, preferably in a law firm in the New York or Washington, D.C. metro areas;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current law firm industry trends in those markets required; strong relationships and connections in those legal markets required;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to exercise sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills;
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage projects, work in high-pressure situations and meet deadlines in a timely and organized manner;
  • Working knowledge of recruiting software, preferably viRecruit.
