Director of Talent & Recruiting
For the New York Office of a Boutique Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Source, assess and present candidates for all of the Firm's hiring, including lateral associates, summer associates, foreign associates, paralegals and non-legal staff;
- Build strategic relationships with career services personnel at key law schools;
- Manage and administer the attorney and staff evaluation process;
- Develop, oversee and implement all professional development programs, including mentoring, associate development and training initiatives; manage CLE and skills training for attorneys;
- Review and assess market trends in attorney and staff compensation and benefits;
- Assist in the Firm's other business-related functions, specifically with BD/Marketing efforts.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years experience in a professional development, recruiting or human resources department within a law firm; JD strongly preferred;
- Experience recruiting, developing & retaining top talent;
- Self-starter with strong writing, presentation and organizational skills;
- Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels, and both within and outside the Firm;
- Ability to exercise judgment and handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion;
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and various databases.
