Diversity & Inclusion Manager

For the New York Office of a Very Successful Wall Street Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a thought leader, ambassador and advocate on diversity and inclusion initiatives at the Firm;
  • Drive and support the activities and initiatives of the Firm's four resource groups: the Women's Forum, the Attorneys of Color Resource Group, the LGBTQ Resource Group and the Working Parents Resource Group;
  • Represent the Firm at various functions; serve as a Firm spokesperson on diversity and inclusion issues;
  • Respond to client requests for diversity information and survey requests related to diversity in the legal profession;
  • Track all external diversity-related sponsorships; provide reports for responses to external requests;
  • Oversee the coordination of diversity meetings, discussions, sponsorships, summer associate program events, professional development programs and other diversity themed events.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in diversity or professional development in a major law firm;
  • Ability to think strategically and innovatively; ability to persuade, influence and inspire confidence in others;
  • Ability to communicate well with Partners, attorneys, all levels of administrative staff and contacts outside the Firm;
  • Exceptional attention to detail; strong project management, administrative, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills required.
