Assistant Lateral Recruitment Coordinator
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide support and assistance to the Firm's Lateral Recruitment initiatives;
- Work closely with the Director on all aspects of lateral associate hiring, including responding to resume submissions, creating candidate files, maintaining profiles in the recruiting database and scheduling interviews;
- Interface with candidates, search firms and attorneys at the Firm throughout the recruitment process;
- Provide support during the summer associate program and on-campus recruiting/callback season as needed;
- Work closely with the Director and outside immigration counsel on obtaining and renewing H-1B, TN, J-1 and other visas for incoming and existing international attorneys;
- Act as a point person for attorneys on immigration-related questions.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related work experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment;
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to interface with professionals at various levels;
- Must possess strong written, communication and organizational skills and must exercise discretion and judgement;
- Basic proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Availability to work overtime on certain occasions.
