Assistant Lateral Recruitment Coordinator

For the New York Office of a Prestigious Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support and assistance to the Firm's Lateral Recruitment initiatives;
  • Work closely with the Director on all aspects of lateral associate hiring, including responding to resume submissions, creating candidate files, maintaining profiles in the recruiting database and scheduling interviews;
  • Interface with candidates, search firms and attorneys at the Firm throughout the recruitment process;
  • Provide support during the summer associate program and on-campus recruiting/callback season as needed;
  • Work closely with the Director and outside immigration counsel on obtaining and renewing H-1B, TN, J-1 and other visas for incoming and existing international attorneys;
  • Act as a point person for attorneys on immigration-related questions.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related work experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment;
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to interface with professionals at various levels;
  • Must possess strong written, communication and organizational skills and must exercise discretion and judgement;
  • Basic proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Availability to work overtime on certain occasions.
