BD Manager - Litigation

For the New York Office of a Very Prestigious Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and oversee the execution of strategic marketing initiatives and new business efforts, focusing on various industries, clients and practice areas;
• Manage the Litigation Business Development Content function, including allocating tasks to team members, prioritizing deadlines, identifying projects and providing frequent feedback;
• Write draft responses for submissions to ranking publications, directories and legal media surveys for Partner/Firm recognition, illustrating the Firm's practice strengths, philosophies and goals;
• Assist with the training and development of Litigation BD Analysts and Coordinators; draft and conduct their annual reviews;
• Write updates and content for items related to litigation rankings and submissions, biographies and case descriptions for inclusion on the Firm's website;
• Work with Partners and BD professionals to develop and implement practice-specific programs and seminars.

Qualifications include:

• 6+ years of law firm or other professional service firm experience with solid understanding of the litigation practice; JD preferred;
• Prior experience as a litigation associate in the areas of securities, antitrust and intellectual property strongly preferred;
• Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to structure and maintain a large quantity of data;
• Very strong writing skills, proofreading ability and a track record of working well in a fast-paced setting with a highly collaborative team;
• Strong analytical ability to identify directory and submissions trends and recommend strategies and best practices for improved results;
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire confidence and help others set and reach goals.
