Associate Director of Attorney Talent Development
For the New York, DC, Atlanta or Houston Office of an International Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the point person for litigators' PD needs and an active member of the PD & Recruitment department;
- Execute firm-wide programs and initiatives including lawyer on-boarding and integration, substantive training programs, and technology/know-how development and use (in conjunction with KM);
- Oversee lawyer utilization and work assignments;
- Administer evaluations and compensation processes;
- Manage the talent pipeline, including determining the hiring needs of the group as well as the promotion of candidates;
- Direct associate mentoring programs.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years of related in a professional development/talent management role in a law firm or other professional services environment;
- Bachelor's degree required, JD preferred;
- Driven to excel and passionate about strengthening Firm's lawyer development initiatives;
- Sophisticated analytical and quantitative abilities (e.g., able to collect and use data to make decisions, including ability to use tools such as Excel at a high level);
- Excellent collaboration, facilitation, influencing, and organizational skills, with the ability to work proactively to obtain information and develop the consensus needed to make decisions.
