Events Specialist

For the New York Office of a Well-Known Wall Street Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee external and internal events for the Firm from concept to execution;
  • Coordinate all event logistics from venue identification, vetting and selection to contract review, menu selection and decor to A/V requirements and security arrangements;
  • Establish and manage to budgets for each event; process all event-related invoices; provide interim reporting to stakeholders;
  • Manage the Firm's promotional items ordering and inventory; identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings; ensure appropriate inventory and manage to budget;
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external service providers, including CRM, catering and conference area services, facilities, transportation vendors, venues, photographers and others.

Qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of event and meeting planning experience, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment;
  • BA in marketing or a related field;
  • Passion for details, deadlines and flawless execution; ability to roll with the punches when the unforeseen arises during
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of seniority and functional areas of an organization;
  • Familiarity with continuing legal education a plus but not required; Certified Meeting Planner designation a plus but not required.
