Legal Recruiting Manager

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of attorney recruitment including lateral and new attorney hiring;
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with search firms and recruiters; work with Practice Group leaders to determine hiring needs;
  • Lead summer associate hiring process by scheduling on-campus interviews, forming relationships with law schools, arranging student callback interviews and maintaining candidate files;
  • Develop and maintain NYC annual recruiting budget; track current law firm salary and market trends;
  • Work closely with Director of Administration and participate as a member of the NYC Management Team;
  • Participate in firm-wide recruiting initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required, JD preferred;
  • 4+ years of experience in legal recruitment or placement preferred;
  • Experience with lateral associate recruitment required;
  • Ability to communicate well with applicants, attorneys, administrative staff, outside vendors and contacts; excellent written and verbal communications;
  • Supervisory experience preferred;
  • Familiarity with the legal recruiting market in New York.
