Professional Development Assistant
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with logistical coordination for in-house training programs and meetings; including sending calendar invites, setting up and monitoring Zoom meetings, booking conference rooms, technology set-up, preparation and distribution of materials;
- Assist with the onboarding of lateral hires, first-year associates and summer associates;
- Collaborate on the mentor program by assisting in conducting surveys and tracking results, preparing quarterly newsletters, tracking participation, and developing events and activities;
- Assist with the associate and summer associate feedback process by preparing feedback reports, tracking completion rates, scheduling and coordinating feedback meetings;
- Assist in event planning for various morale and mentor program initiatives;
- Provide customer service support for incoming calls and emails to the Professional Development department and follow up as necessary.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree required;
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred; including internships, ideally in a fast-paced law firm or professional services environment;
- Team-oriented, self-motivated and extremely professional;
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented attitude;
- Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, flexibility and to deal discreetly with confidential information;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
