US Head of BD & Marketing

For the New York Office of a Global Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish US-focused marketing and business development plan and budget;
  • Develop best practices for delivering marketing and BD support, including pitches and marketing pieces;x
  • Be a source of advice, expertise and coaching for attorneys;
  • Work with partners on the development of their individual business plans that target key clients, and identify opportunities for cross-selling across geography and practice groups;
  • Implement branding strategies and evaluate external PR initiatives and strategic client events, ensuring a cohesive brand identity;
  • Manage and develop a team of 15.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of related experience in a law firm environment;
  • Charismatic, dynamic and confident leader of people and ideas, who is highly adaptable and nimble in their approach;
  • Hands-on, yet strategic;
  • Takes the lead on key projects – whether strategic or day-to-day – and is responsible for their success or failure, learning from the latter;
  • A global mindset, with an understanding of the balance between local business need and being a global firm;
  • Passionate about managing and developing team members.
