Professional Development and Recruiting Manager

For the LA, SF, or Palo Alto Office of a Very Successful NY Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage campus recruiting efforts, law school outreach and the west coast offices’ summer programs;
  • Lead hiring for experienced associates through sourcing, screening and hiring lateral candidates and managing the onboarding and integration of newly hired associates;
  • Support firm management and operating committees on associate retention programs and the performance management process;
  • Initiate and develop programming for west coast associates and manage and maintain personnel data for attorneys;
  • Monitor local market and stay informed with current market trends and best practices;
  • Collaborate with firm-wide team on rebranding initiatives and supervise assistant;

Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of years in a law firm recruiting and or PD;
  • Knowledge of legal recruiting, associate development and/or legal personnel practices;
  • Ability to provide leadership and support for detailed and complex projects with changing deadlines and priorities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of personnel;
  • Ability to work both independently and also collaboratively with the Talent Management team and firm leadership andprovide leadership and support for detailed and complex projects with changing deadlines and priorities;
  • Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office Suite and a familiarity with viRecruit or a similar recruiting database.
