Chief Talent Officer
For the Pennsylvania, Princeton or New York Office of a National Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Advise and consult with the Chairman, CEO, CFO, practice group leaders and other members of the senior team; guide management and employee actions by researching and developing policies, procedures, and guidelines;
- Develop and maintain human resource policies and procedures including onboarding, compensation, health and welfare benefit plans, records management, safety and health, employee relations, and retention;
- Design and implement training for the staff; ensure such training is efficient, effective and cost-beneficial; provide compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation;
- Facilitate the annual administration of all Firm benefits for all constituents including identifying changes to current benefits and new benefits; support the negotiation of benefits with providers and vendors and coordinate open enrollment;
- Serve as the principal steward of all human resource related software systems and information systems; help design, install and maintain the software to ensure effective adoption and utilization;
- Develop human resources and other administrative plans and budgets by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends and variances; secure budgetary resources and develop action plans;
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years of direct management experience in human resources, professional development or talent management in a professional services firm;
- Comprehensive understanding of human resource principles and strong knowledge of human resource related laws and regulations;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to relate interpersonally with a broad range of individuals;
- Approachable, positive, proactive manager who thrives on being visible and engaged with employees and management;
- Synthesizes information from diverse sources, come to conclusions and makes decisions that are rational and based on sound evidence; manages cultural differences and facilitates the Firm’s efforts to build and improve its diverse workforce;
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and possesses a high degree of integrity; strong business sense and ability to cultivate a cost-conscious environment.
