Business Development Manager

For the New York City, Los Angeles, or Delaware Office of a Boutique Litigation Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with lawyers and fellow business professionals to identify value proposition and devise proposal response strategy;
  • Project-manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) response, including scheduling and running kick-off meetings, communicating and managing deadlines, and follow-up;
  • Work with attorneys and paralegals to proofread, finalize, and submit quality proposals on deadline, and manage the calendar of expected proposals to ensure no opportunities are missed;
  • Maintain the firm’s database of proposal responses and proposal language, including tracking and reporting win/loss statistics; ensure that content is up-to-date and consistent with firm website and collateral material;
  • Works with Director of Client Relations and attorneys to track activities in Salesforce and ensure the platform is properly leveraged by the firm as a sales enablement technology;
  • Continual focus on process improvement and efficiency; help identify inefficiencies in the pitch process and develop plans to address.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in professional services;
  • Strong work ethic, service orientation, and ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Superior written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, creativity, and technical skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, additional experience in document management systems and Salesforce preferred.
