Attorney Recruiting Manager

For the D.C. Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise administrative items related to the on-campus interview process and the summer associate program;
  • Review unsolicited resumes and applications, coordinate interview schedules, and ensure onboarding/pre-hire diligence is performed in a timely manner;
  • Supervise the department professional staff including conducting employment searches, onboarding, training, overseeing work performance, writing/delivering performance reviews, approving timecard entries, approving time off requests, etc;
  • Coordinate, oversee and ensure proper maintenance of department projects, day-to-day operations and long-range plans of department functions; participate in attorney engagement and retention initiatives;
  • Ensure current knowledge of firm policies and practices for professional staff, current knowledge of industry trends and continued professional development for professional staff; recommend and implement changes and improvements in methods and procedures
  • Assist Sr. Manager in effectively utilizing the firm's performance management process to communicate performance expectations, monitor performance, coach employees, and manage unsatisfactory performance.

Qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of recruiting experience in a corporate environment and 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience;
  • Current knowledge of Attorney Recruiting industry best practices, trends, and techniques including budgeting;
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills;
  • Ability to effectively supervise others and employ coaching and problem-solving techniques;
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, Webex) with the ability to learn new software and operating systems;
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
