Recruiting Coordinator (or Senior Recruiting Coordinator)

For the DC, New York or Chicago Office of an International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Arrange and execute the summer associate program including conducting orientation, conducting social events and tracking work assignments;
  • Prepare registration materials for on-campus interviews at law schools; coordinate OCI dates across offices and make necessary arrangements at law schools for on-campus interviewing;
  • Prepare evaluation summaries of recruits during fall recruiting season; design and arrange for on-campus events throughout the year;
  • Provide recruiting experience from initial touchpoint to offer acceptance and onboarding; review candidate resumes, coordinate interview schedules, and assess interview evaluations;
  • Source lateral candidates through various methods including associate referrals and recruiters; manage the maintenance of the recruiting database, LawCruit;
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budget categories that are directly relevant to the summer and fall recruiting programs; analyze information regarding summer and fall recruiting data.

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of recruitment experience in a professional services or legal environment;
  • Ability to communicate well with applicants, attorneys, all levels of administrative staff and contacts outside the firm (including written and verbal communications);
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to evaluate applicants’ presentation skills (e.g., during interviews and by reviewing applicants’ correspondence and resumes);
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the legal recruiting market;
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
