Business Development Coordinator

For the Newark or York Office of a Well-Respected Regional Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with BD managers and specialists to develop processes for collecting client/matter data for inclusion in the firm’s experience database; develop system reports and best practices for maintaining integrity of the data; assist specialists in compiling
  • Maintain proposal generation system and assist with application improvements and troubleshooting; work with BD writer and managers/specialist to update practice group and firm content, track wins/losses, and run reports;
  • Provide backup support on pitch/RFP production and assist specialists in coordinating and collecting relevant data to respond to client compliance surveys, diversity surveys and RFPs;
  • Maintain group intranet site and repository of relevant business development information while updating master list of companies and prospects identified in partners’ business plans and assist in tracking follow-ups to partners’ business plans;
  • Aid in the development, growth, and promotion of the Alumni program, including research of alumni, monitoring moves, reporting, etc;
  • Assist with InterAction special projects to better utilize existing data, improve data quality and simplify reports that legal assistants can generate.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience working for a professional services organization or in a corporate business setting;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel;
  • Solid business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience using marketing databases;
  • Must have strong project management skills and be able to juggle multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with lawyers and staff as well as the ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate regularly with colleagues, and approach projects with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
