Legal Recruiting Assistant

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with summer program events, including creating calendar invitations, tracking RSVPs, attending assigned events, preparing materials for summer associate reviews and conducting check-ins;
  • Upload candidate data into LawCruit, and ensure data is maintained; assist with on-campus interview (OCI) logistics;
  • Assist with all aspects of 1L, 3L, clerk and LLM hiring;
  • Assist the Director of Lateral Associate Hiring with lateral search logistics;
  • Liaise with legal placement agencies and/or prospective candidates from the initial screening stage through the employment decision stage;
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of one year of work experience at a mid-sized or large law firm, career services or other professional services industry is preferred; bachelor’s degree required;
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, manage, and prioritize projects effectively;
  • Proactive in learning and adapting to new systems and processes;
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database programs (e.g., LawCruit, Symplicity); advanced social media (LinkedIn, etc.) and web-based programs skills are highly
