Practice Manager for Real Estate

For the New York Office of a Premier Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build trust and develop a relationship with each associate, including an in-depth understanding of professional aspirations, experiences, strengths, and development needs;
  • Identify and resolve issues that impact associate morale;
  • Design and coordinate associate life initiatives such as Alumni Gatherings, associate dinners, department get-togethers, Lunch & Learns, etc;
  • Prepare review messages and performance summaries;
  • Serve as a source of legal, market, and practical expertise to the firm's clients;
  • Assist in business development efforts, including thought leadership initiatives and client events.

Qualifications include:

  • Big law experience required;
  • Proactive self-starter able to progress work and create systems and structure independently;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), strong influencing capabilities, maturity, and sound judgment to effectively gain credibility and trust;
  • Well-honed project management skills, ability to multitask, and track record of strong, demonstrated leadership;
  • Adaptable to changing business needs;
  • Diplomacy and the ability to successfully foster collaboration among others.
