Director of Marketing Operation

For the NY, DC, LA, SF, Atlanta or Chicago Office of a National Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a thought leader on strategic direction of brand; interface with Department and Practice Group Chairs to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives;
  • Manage the messaging and positioning of the brand; establish consistent voice and unique selling points;
  • Ensure best practices in the development of marketing materials including the creation of strong and compelling content and design;
  • Manage key marketing processes including advertising and collateral development; oversee interactive media, legal industry rankings, CRM, etc;
  • Gain input and buy-in from key firm stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities;
  • Work with Marketing team members to design and implement processes and programs which elevate the overall quality and efficiency of Marketing deliverables.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 15 years marketing experience, with emphasis in marketing communications, marketing operations and brand strategy;
  • Previous experience in a senior managerial role; experience managing a team in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated comfort level coaching and developing team;
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and process redesign, and supervision over multiple processes in a demanding environment;
  • Strong general business orientation required and experience working with Partners;
  • Experience developing brand strategy, ; strong writing skills are a must;
  • Strong presentation skills; strong ability to inspire confidence with firm leaders.
