Legal Recruiting Manager

For the DC Office of a Very Successful IP Boutique Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the candidate experience; review candidate submissions, respond to inquiries, be point of contact for candidates, and maintain communications through the interview process to time of onboarding;
  • Act as an ambassador of the firm and provide firm information to candidates;
  • Build strong relationships with target schools; arrange on-campus events to build awareness of the firm and its offerings;
  • Lead the fall recruitment season including identifying schools for OCI and organizing the firm’s participation; work closely with Recruitment Committee members to identify and prepare attorney interviewers, and facilitate offer decisions;
  • Plan the Summer Associate program with the Professional Development Committee; Identify work projects and organize social events;
  • Facilitate the hiring process for lateral attorney’s and patent agents; support Practice Group Leaders and Recruiting Committee members to make hiring decisions.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-7 years’ experience in legal recruitment required;
  • Knowledge of current best practices in legal recruitment; active participation in NALP preferred;
  • Ability to manage summer and lateral recruiting programs;
  • Excellent organization and oral and written communication skills, good judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work with little supervision;
  • Must be able to manage projects, prioritize workload and solve problems;
  • Strong computer skills required; ability to use a candidate management system; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
