Onboarding Specialist, Training/IT

For the NYC Office of a Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Augment the onboarding, orientation, integration, and technical training process for new attorneys and professional services staff;
  • Introduce new hires to essential technologies such as iManage, Open, InTapp, Chrome River, Microsoft Office Suite, intapp, and Open;
  • Serve as a resource to new joiners throughout their onboarding and integration period; liaise with various departments and individuals throughout the Firm to answer questions and provide support on best practices;
  • Provide training on a broad range of tasks such as working with the Client Delivery Group, how to use Global Document Services, generating invoices, and accessing 401K, benefits and ADP platforms;
  • Run both large training sessions as well as one-on-one trainings for new hires on technology, tools, and best practices;
  • Create online content, including new eLearning, training videos, and other online digital content; provide learning and development materials.

Qualifications include:

  • Law firm experience, including experience with legal-specific software applications required;
  • Experience as a technical trainer in a law firm;
  • Understanding of the requirements of Lawyer/Business Services new hires; including understanding the tools and practices of the market;
  • Ability to foster welcoming relationships with new hires;
  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to teach others about technological databases, tools, and practices;
  • Flexible in approach and delivery, with ability to translate business requirements through to successful implementation with demonstrable measurable results.
Salary: $80k
