Public Relations Manager
For the NYC Office of a Prestigious Global Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Help direct the overall media strategy for the Firm and its practice groups and lawyers; work closely with partners to develop effective PR plans;
- Assist with the Firm’s day-to-day media relations activities; including fielding requests for comment from journalists and researching publications;
- Draft external announcements and press releases and develop targeted media lists for distribution;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business, legal and trade journalists;
- Provide counsel to lawyers on messaging and interview preparation;
- Draft and edit industry survey and award submissions.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in public relations; experience in the legal services field preferred;
- Proactive approach with the ability to initiate and manage projects;
- Exceptional written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Highly collaborative with the ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels.
