Public Relations Manager

For the NYC Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

• Help direct the overall media strategy for the Firm and its practice groups and lawyers; work closely with partners to develop effective PR plans;
• Assist with the Firm’s day-to-day media relations activities; including fielding requests for comment from journalists and researching publications;
• Draft external announcements and press releases and develop targeted media lists for distribution;
• Develop and maintain relationships with key business, legal and trade journalists;
• Provide counsel to lawyers on messaging and interview preparation;
• Draft and edit industry survey and award submissions.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree required;
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in public relations; experience in the legal services field preferred;
• Proactive approach with the ability to initiate and manage projects;
• Exceptional written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Highly collaborative with the ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels.

Salary: $150-200k
