Practice Manager, Corporate
For the NYC Office of a Very Prestigious Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Work as a point of contact for corporate associates regarding assignments, rotations, work allocation concerns, relationships with group members, etc.;
- Coordinate rotations for current corporate associates and maintain relevant documentation;
- In coordination with the Legal Talent team, compile assignment requests and class credit data with the Managing Partner to determine all new corporate hires;
- Conducts check-in meetings with incoming associates and rotating associates;
- Conduct exit interviews, alongside members of the Legal Talent team, with associates in relevant populations;
- Assist with the development, implementation, and coordination of associate development initiatives and morale events.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. preferred;
- At least 5 years of professional services experience;
- Minimum 3 years of law firm experience; experience in practice group or talent management in large law firm preferred;
- Ability to work effectively with others, particularly senior-level members of the Firm;
- Ability to analyze data, drawing accurate conclusions and making appropriate recommendations, as needed;
- Highly organized and effective project manager;
