People Advisory Manager

For the NY Office of an International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Support talent management and people development planning to ensure associates and counsels are on-boarded, resourced, trained, mobilized, seconded and developed;
  • Own and facilitate career development plans helping to identify the right work experiences, client opportunities, mobility opportunities, formal training and coaching;
  • Understand and apply the Firm’s career framework to plan for employee pipeline, succession planning, high performance culture, etc.;
  • Drive the implementation of and participation in Firm wide programs; including annual milestones, performance evaluations, compensation, feedback, flexible work, on/off ramping, engagement surveys and exit interviews;
  • Build trust and work effectively with all stakeholders; improve effectiveness across HR functions;
  • Demonstrate and practice a high level of knowledge around talent management and a solid understanding of technical HR, including federal and local labor and employment laws; use talent networks to continuously upskill self and team.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of professional services, talent management and/or HR experience; 3+ years working across a regional, global or remote cross-border teams;
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex issues using judgment that is consistent with policies, procedures and regulations;
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, ability to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders on a regular basis;
  • Self-motivated and achievement oriented;
  • Inclusive and culturally sensitive;
  • Ability to drive change and transformation.
Salary: $126-189k
