For the DC Office of Very Successful Boutique IP Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the firm's in-house legal training programs for attorneys and IP professionals, liaising with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality learning and skill development;
  • Collaborate with the PD Committee Chair and Sr Manager of PD & Training to improve competency models and benchmarks for attorneys and IP professionals at all levels;
  • Further develop the firm-wide mentoring program, including developing trainings and internal support systems for tracking and accountability'
  • Support Practice Group Leaders with routine performance management requests relating to employees, including coaching and advising such employees as needed;
  • Administer the mid-year and year-end evaluation processes and support implementation and utilization of the performance management system (viGlobal).

Qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of professional development, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment;
  • Strong interest in supporting attorney professional development in the legal profession;
  • The ability to think strategically and creatively;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and good judgement;
  • Able to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly.
