Practice Group Administrator, IP & Trademark
For the New York Office of a Well-Respected Law FirmThis is a filled position.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with partners to develop and execute best administrative practices and strategic plans, ensuring effective communication across the practice group;
- Coordinate and process billing to include processing invoices for vendors, drafting, editing, and preparing pre-bills and final bills per attorney/client specifications and/or guidelines;
- Work with marketing to create marketing materials and to plan and execute group events and other initiatives, coordinate client meetings and communications, and support client presentations and proposals;
- Maintain and assist with practice group budget management, and provide feedback on client requests;
- Review CLE opportunities and work with partners to fulfill the group’s educational needs;
- Create and maintain filing systems for trademark prosecution and enforcement matters on NetDocs document system.
Qualifications include:
- 3+ years of applicable experience in a law firm environment;
- Ability to and build credibility and good rapport with lawyers, staff and clients;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work independently and proactively, in a fast-paced environment;
- Can organize, prioritize, plan, and multi-task to effectively meet deadlines;
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; Aderant Expert, Chrome River and Net Docs experience preferred; experience with trademark docketing and USPTO Financial Manager a plus.
