Lateral Associate Recruiting Manager

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage lifecycle of firmwide lateral attorney recruitment, from hiring requests through orientation; serve as primary point of contact to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Liaise with Practice Leaders, Hiring Partners and firm leadership to understand and identify staffing needs;
  • Proactively and creatively source, attract, and engage targeted candidates using a multi-pronged approach;
  • Support all phases of the lateral recruitment process including arranging interviews, collating and disseminating feedback, and coordinating all steps in the hiring process;
  • Work closely with the US People Team to successfully welcome and integrate lateral attorneys;
  • Keep abreast of key market issues and trends; track information and analyze competitive data, best practices, and trends to make recommendations to adopt when appropriate.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of law firm recruiting experience including experience with lateral associate recruiting;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of law firm business model principles and legal industry trends and challenges;
  • Must be a team player and exercise good judgment;
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion;
  • Ability to work under pressure and have a professional demeanor.
Salary: $140k-$170k
